Pusha T has been having some sort of beef with Lil’ Wayne for a while. The reasons for this beef are unknown to me, but the latest round in their ongoing feud has the internets going nuts: Pusha released the ‘Exodus 23:1’ a while back and Wayne already responded with his track ‘Ghoulish’.
Now Pusha releases the visuals for his exodus. In the video, directed by Samuel Rogers, the rapper visits his hometown of Norfolk, Viriginia where crack addicts and hustlers fill the streets. It seems like your basic rap video shot in the hood, however seeing the bad side of Viriginia instead of the usual New York or LA gives some new perspective, not just on the context of southern hiphop in general, but also on the upbringing of Pusha T.
